As Ramadhan is approaching so close and thinking that one has to refrain oneself from eating and drinking from dawn to dusk, the crave for mandi/mehdi rice is so mind boggling especially Ziela dok teringin sangat. So both families met up there at a new- to-try mandi restaurant Al Tawasol in Deira. The restaurant is more inviting and cozier compared to Joot Mandi in Qusais. A more relaxing fine dining atmosphere as sejuk sikit waktu summer ni. There are variety kind of rice offered kat sini, colourful from mandi rice, briyani and bukhori with the side dishes like lamb (lahaam), grilled chicken, grilled fish and others. If in Malaysia, briyani is delicously eaten dengan ayam masak merah ke , rendang tok, acar buah or pajeri nenas. Kalau tambah dengan dalca tulang penuh dengan terung, kentang, carrot, memang sedap. If only tok Arabs kat sini pekena
dengan side dishes Malaysians ... undescribable!
Well, so we ordered one big talam of mixed mandi rice and bokhari full of lahaam and grilled chicken. Another small talam of lahaam for the kids. Mmmm, initially nampak banyak n been wondering boleh habis ke but actually memang Habis. Quality wise not bad, macammanapun rice kat Joot Mandi lagi sedap kot. Kat sini depa makan nasi pakai talam je macam orang-orang Arqam dulu tapi kalau MIL Mr Imr, memang mau dia taknak makan berebut2 makan dalam talam... tak semenggah (katanya) and here webersila/dok kat lantai aje macam makan-makan ala kampung dlm majlis (tent).
Haza dok perabis nasi mandi...
